Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 21, 2026
At Toolfinity, privacy isn't a checkbox โ it's our foundation. We've engineered every tool to protect your data by design.
๐ The Core Promise: Most Toolfinity tools process files entirely in your browser. Your images, videos, documents, and audio never touch our servers.
Local Processing by Default
When you use Toolfinity to convert video to audio, compress images, remove backgrounds, edit PDFs, or any of our 31 tools, the processing happens locally on your device. We don't upload your files because we simply don't have servers that process your content.
This means:
- No Toolfinity employee can see your files
- Your sensitive business documents stay confidential
- Processing is faster โ no upload/download wait
- You maintain complete ownership and control
What Limited Data We Collect
We collect the absolute minimum needed to operate and improve Toolfinity:
- Anonymous Usage Statistics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first tool that doesn't use cookies or track individuals. We see aggregated data like "500 people used the image compressor today" โ never who used it or what they compressed.
- Contact Form Submissions: If you reach out, we receive your name, email, and message. Used solely to respond to you. Never shared, never sold.
- Technical Logs: Our hosting provider may temporarily log IP addresses for security. These rotate and delete within 7 days.
Cookies? Hardly Any.
Toolfinity doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing pixels. The only cookie we might set is a functional one for preferences (like remembering you prefer dark mode). No cross-site tracking. No retargeting ads.
Third-Party Services
We intentionally minimize external dependencies:
- Hosting: Secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure
- Currency API: Our currency converter fetches anonymous exchange rates from a public API. No personal data transmitted.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any ad networks.
Children's Privacy
Toolfinity is for general audiences. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, this is inherently enforced.
Your Rights
Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights regarding personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you (unless you've contacted us), there's essentially nothing to access or delete. If you've emailed us and want that correspondence removed, just ask.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page. Our commitment to local-first privacy processing won't change.
